WONJA
About Wonja

Clinical research runs on trusted people.

We build the record that proves it. One verification, held to an auditable standard, recognised by every sponsor a professional works with.

The name

Wonja · pronounced WON-jah.

Our contemporary brand philosophy: the freedom to be recognized for your true capability.

The name draws on roots in recognition, agency and belonging. We treat that as philosophy rather than a literal dictionary translation. It describes what a credential should do: not permission granted by an employer for the length of a contract, but standing a professional carries with them.

Origin

Fifteen years inside the problem

Wonja was founded by an operator, not an observer.

Our founder spent more than fifteen years in pharma and CRO operations: study start-up, monitoring, site management, inspection readiness. The same failure repeated on every programme. Studies were not lost on science. They were lost waiting for people who could run them.

Meanwhile, capable coordinators sat unhired because nothing about their experience could be checked quickly. Hiring managers screened for risk. Sponsors paid for the delay. Everyone was working with resumes and hope.

Wonja exists to end that. Verify competence once, at source, to a published standard, and let the professional carry the proof.

The problem

Competence is re-proven at every door

A coordinator with eight years on oncology protocols still starts each contract by emailing certificates. Sites wait. Trials slip. Nothing about the delay makes the work safer.

The premise

Verify once. Carry it everywhere.

Standing belongs to the professional, not to a vendor database. We validate at source, band it into a score sponsors can read, and hand it back as a credential the holder controls.

The standard

Written for the inspector, not the brochure

Every record is built to survive audit: dated, attributable, and current. If a credential lapses, the Passport says so the same day.

Principles

How we hold the line

The rules that decide what enters the register, and what never does.

SRC

Source validation only

No self-attestation

Certificates and licences are confirmed with the issuing body. A scan of a PDF is not evidence.

OWN

The holder owns the record

Portable by design

Professionals see every verification of their Passport and carry it between employers intact.

CUR

Current or nothing

Continuous surveillance

Expiry is monitored, not remembered. Standing reflects today, never the day of issue.

The horizon

Workforce infrastructure for life sciences

Clinical research is where the need is sharpest. It is not where this ends.

The same gap runs through pharmacovigilance, medical affairs, regulatory and manufacturing quality: work that demands proven competence, hiring that cannot confirm it. A credential that is portable, auditable and current solves the same problem in each.

Our direction is a single verification layer for life sciences work, embeddable in the systems employers already use, and owned by the professionals it describes.
